Ed Kavalee is an accomplished performer in theatre which is a form of improv comedy. He has also led workshops at the University of New South Wales and hosted Theatresports at the University of Sydney for several years. Before starting his radio career with Triple M, Kavalee worked in a small video store for over eight years from the age of fourteen.

He later joined the team at Triple M, helping with promotions and running panels. Kavalee graduated from Screenwise which is a film and TV school. He landed a role in the pilot episode of the improvised comedy show Thank God You’re Here which is produced by Working Dog Productions. He appeared in over 20 episodes in 2006 and continued as part of the ensemble for the following season.
